SparrausPori
Taiteilijaseura NYTE ry ja Taiteen edistämiskeskus järjestävät yhdenvertaisuuden teemaan paneutuvan sparraus- ja mentorointiohjelman marras-joulukuussa 2018.
Ohjelmassa keskitymme siihen, mitä yhdenvertaisuus on taiteen praktiikassa ja teosprosesseissa. Pyrimme osaltamme luomaan yhdenvertaisuuden maailmaa, emme vain aihetta käsitteleviä teoksia ja keskustelua. Työskentely perustuu vertaisuudelle, palautteelle ja keskustelulle. Taiteilijat muodostavat sparrausprosessissa ryhmän, joka haastaa ja tukee toisiaan ammatillisesti. Parhaassa tapauksessa tämä kantaa paljon pidemmälle kuin tapahtumaan, jossa teokset toteutetaan.
Hae ohjelmaan teosidealla ja CV:llä. Valikoimme haun kautta kolme teosta keskustelevaan jatkokehittelyyn ja lopulta esitettäväksi Porin Juhlaviikoilla 15.12.2018. Hakuun voi osallistua myös ryhmänä.
Teosten eteenpäin kehittäminen on vaiheittaista vuoropuhelua:
– Haun yhteydessä valitsijaraati laatii taiteilijalle palautteen valituista teoksista.
– Valitut taiteilijat kutsutaan sparrausviikonloppuun, jossa he antavat ja saavat palautetta teoksista. Sparrauksen järjestävät Porin Juhlaviikkojen tuotantoryhmä, esitystaiteen läänintaiteilija Marika Räty ja ohjelman mentori, esitystaiteilija Emilia Kokko.
– Tapahtuman jälkeen tapaamme ryhmän ja mentorin kanssa arvioimaan työskentelyä ja lopullisia teoksia.
Porin Juhlaviikot maksaa teoksesta esiintymispalkkion. Työstöprosessista ei makseta erillistä palkkiota, mutta sparrausviikonlopun kulut katetaan.
Teokset esitetään Porin Juhlaviikoilla 15.12.2018. Taiteilija ja festivaali neuvottelevat teoksen tarkemmasta toteutuksesta, esiintymisajasta ja -paikasta.
Hakuun voit osallistua, jos:
– olet Suomessa toimiva performanssi- tai esitystaiteilija (hakea voi myös ryhmänä)
– et opiskele taidekoulussa tällä hetkellä, vaan toimit jo ammattilaiskentällä
– haluat ja pystyt sitoutumaan dialogiseen ja kollegiaaliseen teosprosessiin
– haluat kehittää työskentelyäsi feministisestä näkökulmasta
– olet rakentamassa täysin uutta esitystä tai haluat kehittää merkittävällä tavalla jotain aiemmin esitettyä teosta
Porilainen performanssisparraus tarjoaa valituille taiteilijoille teoksen mentoroinnin, sparrausviikonlopun matka-, majoitus- ja ruokailukulut, festivaaliviikonlopun matka- ja majoituskulut, 100 euron esiintymispalkkion, tekniikan, teosavustajan ja kohtuulliset, erikseen sovittavat materiaalikulut.
Aikataulu:
Hakuaika on 08.-28.10.2018.
Valitut teokset ilmoitetaan kaikille hakijoille 31.10.2018
Sparrausviikonloppu järjestetään Porissa 9.-11.11.2018
Porin Juhlaviikot järjestetään Galleria 3h+k:ssa, Porissa 14.-15.12.2018

SparrausPori
Sparring programme and a performance gig for Finland-based professional performance and live artists.
Artist association NYTE ry and Arts Promotion Centre Finland open a call for performance proposals for the new SparrausPori performance art sparring group. The group focuses on the tools of feminist curating and friendliness because NYTE ry wants to be a part of building a more equal art world. This is an attempt to making equality something that surrounds the whole process of art making and not just something that you draw inspiration from or name as the theme of your art work.
You can apply with a performance idea that will be developed further with the help of the other artists and a mentor. The finished works will be presented at Porin Juhlaviikot on December 15th this year.
At this point we have the resources to develop three art works.
The work will be done in a manner of phased discourse
– After the selection, the chosen works will get feedback from the programme jury.
– The chosen artists will take part in a weekend sparring camp where they will give and receive feedback about the chosen artworks. The sparring is facilitated by the production team of Porin Juhlaviikot, the live art regional artist Marika Räty and the mentor of the programme, live artist Emilia Kokko.
– Porin Juhlaviikot offers the participants a performance fee. The development process doesn’t include an additional fee, but the costs of the coaching weekend will be covered.
The works will be presented at Porin Juhlaviikot December 15th 2018. The artist and the festival will negotiate the details of the work’s actualization, performing time and space.
You can apply, if:
– you are a performance artist / live artist based in Finland (Also groups can apply)
– you are not an art student at the moment, but already working in the professional field
– you are able to and willing to commit in a dialogical and collegial artistic process
– you want to develop your practice from a feminist point of view
– you are preparing a new work or want to significantly develop previously existing work
SparrausPori will offer the three chosen artists/groups the mentoring of their performative work, the travel, accommodation and food costs of the coaching weekend, travel and accommodation costs of the festival weekend, performance fee of 100 euros, technical support, performance assistant and reasonable material costs, negotiated with the festival.

The chosen works will be announced to all applicants 31.10.2018
The sparring weekend will be organized in Pori 9.-11.11.2018
Porin Juhlaviikot takes place in Galleria 3h+k, Pori 14.-15.12.2018
